METAMORPHOSIS

documentary

METAMORPHOSIS is an intimate look at the extraordinary relationship between man and eagle. Angelo D’Arrigo—two time hang gliding world champion—adopts a baby eagle and teaches her how to fly. Once aloft, Nike becomes Angelo’s teacher, setting him off on an incredible adventure. He goes on to become the world’s best non-mechanized flyer—saving cranes from extinction, shattering world flying records and bringing Leonardo Da Vinci’s flying machine to life.

Narrated with excerpts from both Angelo and his wife Laura’s autobiographies, METAMORPHOSIS will be the first full story of their brave love, unfolding between earth and sky, always on the edge of disaster.

METAMORPHOSIS will explore the tensions that live inside us all—between civilization and the call of the wild, between individual freedom and the comfort of family, between our desire to protect the ones we love and the inevitable need to let them go. With exclusive access to Angelo’s family and estate, including two books and 200 hours of never-before-seen-footage, METAMORPHOSIS will evoke MY OCTOPUS TEACHER and THE DEEPEST BREATH—but set in the sky

MUSEUM OF BROKEN RELATIONSHIPS

scripted series-based on a true story

This is a series about a breakup that failed--big time. Olivia and Daniel want to separate so completely that they donate all the physical reminders of their defunct relationship to an art fair. But when the collection of love-stranded objects goes viral, it thrusts these two people who want to be apart, ever more tightly together.

For most of history, humans believed that the untamed wilds of human desire were too tumultuous to hold the future of our species. Love-as-the-basis-of-marriage is a relatively recent experiment—-one that seemed to be going pretty well until two things happened:

  • We unlocked love’s chemical code

  • The internet

Now we’re in a whole new era—one that strains this fragile experiment with romantic love.

First online dating sparked a crisis in monogamy with a virtual sea of alternate partners. Then came a wave of people opting out of human love altogether—choosing avatars, video game characters or anime. Now AI supercharges this trend—endlessly generating realistic responses from your virtual lover on the fly, optimized specifically for you.

Are humans trying to break up with love as we’ve known it?
